On October 16 I’ll perform a 50th birthday show at Birdland, presenting my forthcoming album, Songs Never Sung, with Kenny Wollesen on drums, Tony Scherr bass, and Will Graefe guitar, with horn arrangements written and performed by trumpeter CJ Camerieri, leading a section of Anat Cohen on clarinet and Mike Boschen trombone. This show will feature many special guest singers and musicians who I’ve collaborated with over the years, including Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson, Maya Hawke, Gabi Hartmann, Sophia Brous and Jon Dryden. We’ll play two sets at 7 and 9:45. See you there!

Recorded in the tradition of the classic vocal albums, Songs Never Sung is a collection of original songs by Grammy-Award-winner Jesse Harris, with horn arrangements by CJ Camerieri and featuring jazz guitar legend Bill Frisell, drummer Kenny Wollesen and bassist Tony Scherr. All compositions are new, except: “I’ve Got To See You Again,” made famous by Norah Jones; “Without You,” previously recorded by Sasha Dobson and Lizz Wright; and “You’ll Forget Me,” written by Dobson.
